Welcome to andylongviolin.com. My name is Andy Long, and I am an experienced online violin teacher and professional performer. I have spent my career as a freelance orchestral leader and held the full-time position of Associate Leader with both the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Orchestra of Opera North.

As a violin soloist, I have performed concertos and recitals throughout the UK and Europe, including a live televised performance of Elgar’s Violin Sonata in Poland. Alongside my performing career, I have taught for Sir Yehudi Menuhin, Chetham’s School of Music, and Manchester University. Today I am proud to offer professional violin lessons online to students worldwide.
